St. gEoRgE mArAtHoN

During conference weekend this year Penni, Chad, his brother and I ran the St. George Marathon. I had to miss an ethics class for this. If I don't get an A in the class this is the reason! We stayed at this amazing house. Chad ALWAYS spoils us. I wish we could have stayed longer. We spent the first day at the house and the convention center. There were so many cool shopping booths! The next morning us runners got up at 4 a.m to get to the buses on time. We loaded the school buses and rode 26.2 miles into the mountains. Oh my word I thought Idaho winter mornings were cold... I have never been so cold in my life! It was amazing to see the whole ordeal put together. They had a DJ and flags and just a hole bunch of really neat things at the starting line. There were over 7,000 people pee-ing in the trees and huddling around the heaters. I am so proud that we ran it! I can't wait for next year and the next marathon! There WILL be another one. That night after the race we went and saw Chad's show home and went to this amazing theatre in the back of this canyon. I usually don't like plays, but this was the most amazing production I have ever seen. The next morning we woke up to a worse wind store than we have at home and it rained the whole way home. I am so glad we didn't have to run a marathon in that weather.
